“It was important for us that the collection would truly look and feel like 'us'. It is soft, relaxed, colorful and unique – exactly the kind of clothing you can wear at anytime, anywhere,” Mikko and Kimmo discuss.

Colourful discoveries
The colorful print of the MIKI collection came about by chance as Mikko and Kimmo were sketching out the visual identity in the early stages of the design process.
“The print was created almost by an accident as we were playing around with the graphic elements and suddenly realized that they formed the word Ommellinen,” Kimmo explains.
What started as a playful design quickly became the standout signature of the MIKI collection: a vibrant expression of joy, creativity and fearless originality.
Proudly made in Finland
The MIKI collection is proudly Finnish! The fabrics are knitted in Orivesi, the prints are made in Hartola, the logo labels are produced in Lahti, the strings are made in Keuruu, and every garment is cut and sewn at Ommellinen’s own sewing studio in Kinkomaa.
“It was really important to us that the collection wasn’t just stylish, but also responsibly made in Finland. Every piece carries with it Finnish craftsmanship and expertise,” Mikko and Kimmo emphasise.
