Here are some answers to the questions that we often get. Many things tell about Ommellinen’s way of doing things and because we aim to be as transparent as possible, we are happy to tell about these things. Please be in contact with us, if you have any questions.

We cut, sew,iron and shoot all our clothes in our own facilities inKinkomaa, Central Finland. We take care of the whole manufacturing process herein the hands of our own people.We try to do our best, but our resources are limited and so weare able to typically make about250-500 pieces of each model. We make severaldifferent models in our production, so wecan’t focusin makinghuge amounts of one individual model – and that is why the amounts are moderate and sometimes sizes run out of stock.Before making a new batch, we choose the prints and decide how many pieces of each size we are going to make. Sizes M and L are usually the mostpopularsizesand we aim tomake more of those sizes than others.Still those are the sizes that are often out of stock first.Our products are designed and priced to be manufactured in big batches and that is why we unfortunatelydon’thave the possibilityto makesingle additions to some sizes or color/print options. 

We have many different models in productionand even more of the prints.Unfortunately,wecan’t promisea new batchofsomethingthat is out of stock.We might make more of the same model insame or different prints/colors, it might take a long time before we are able to take a new batch in productionor we may beveryquick todo so. We aim tobe smart and flexible in all our operations and that is something we takegreat pride in. If there is a product that surprises us with itspopularity we alwaysevaluate our possibilitiesin making more of it.But we also believe thatlimited amounts give happiness in the form ofunique clothing. 

Even though it would be so great, we cannot bend our resources to do so. Our production is built so that we make a batch ofroughly250-500 piecesat once.Our products arepriced andour production isscheduled according to that. Makingasingle product isvery different andit is not a smart way for us to operate. We have a wide range of patterns and fabrics in our selection, which allow you to make orhave made (by some otherseamstress) the exact product you want with the printyou prefer the most. 

Unfortunately,wedon’t reserve our products because we wantto be fair and equal to everyone.Normally wefinish the whole batch in one, we shoot and add them to our store (store inKinkomaaandwebshop). This way our products are available to everyone at the sametimeand everyone hasanequalpossibilityto buy them. 

Wecan’t always promise that there will be more of the same product and that is whywedon’t have that feature in ourwebshop. You can always send us a message and ask if we are planningon making a new batch.We are happy to answer, even though weourselvesdon’t alwaysknowwhat the future holds for us!

We have a size chart in each product that shows the measurements of the actual clothes. You can compare these measurements tothe measurements ofsome of yourfavorite clothing. We believe that this way you get close to your own size and your preferences.We all have our own preferences - some of us like clothes with more relaxed measurements, some of us likemorefitting style.Our bodies are alsodifferent and they all are beautiful and deserveonlythe best, so the most important thing for us is thatyou find clothes that makeyou feelgood, when wearing them.

Ommellisen vaatesuunnittelun lähtökohtava on mukavuus ja käytännöllinen arki. Pyrimme tekemään erilaisia vaatemalleja, eri tilanteita ja käyttäjiä ajatellen. Uskomme siihen, että vaate on parhaimmillaan silloin, kun sitä ei edes huomaa päällä. Tämä vaatii sen, että vaate on jostain kohtaa istuva ja pysyy päällä ilman jatkuvaa korjailua.

Uskomme, että meiltä löytyy jokaiseen makuun jotakin. Kurkkaa aina huolella tuotteen kokotaulukko ja tuotetiedot, jolloin voit tehdä mahdollisimman harkitun valinnan ja saada juuri itsellesi sopivan tuotteen. Sarjomme vaatteemme usein koosta XS kokoon XXXL.

Olemme kiitollisia palautteesta ja pyrimme kehittämään mallistoa toiveiden mukaan. On kuitenkin hyvä muistaa, että yksi muutos muuttaa koko sarjan ja tästä syystä esimerkiksi pääntien muotoa ei ole yhteen erään mahdollista muuttaa.

We aim to show our clothes on different body types as much as possible. Typically, our photo shoots take place during the workday and those are our people in the pictures. In addition to our own staff, you can see our friends and family in the pictures too. It is meaningful that the people in the pictures are people who have a special relationship with our brand and the clothes. We have so much fun whenever we have a photo shoot and we hope that comes across in our photos.

Ideat syntyvät usein työn lomassa ja etsimme jatkuvasti uusia yksityiskohtia. Käytämme ideoinnin pohjalla paljon myös vanhoja mallejamme ja muokkaamme niistä entistä ehompia. Jokainen uusi malli sarjontatestataan ja otetaan käyttöön arjessa. Näin saamme parhaan kokemuksen vaatteesta ja ehdimme tehdä viilauksia ennen isomman sarjan tekemistä. 

Toimituskulut suomeen ovat 5,50 - 6,50 €. Yli 150 € tilauksen toimitus Suomeen on ilmainen (ei koske kotiinkuljetusta: 10 €). Toimituskulut Eurooppaan ovat 10 - 20 €. Tilauksen voi myös noutaa itse Ommellisen myymälästä Kinkomaalta.

Toimituskulu pitää sisällään paljon - pakkausmateriaalin, lähettämisen, postimaksun. Pienessä yrityksessä toimituskulut muodostavat suuren menoerän. Tästä syystä “ilmaisia toimituskulu” -kampanjoita meillä ei ole ollut koskaan. 

Haluamme asiakkaidemme tiedostavan, että postittaminen Suomessa työllistää ison joukon ihmisiä ja toiminta sen ympärillä maksaa. Moni yritys sisällyttää toimituskulut tuotteen hintaan, mutta meidän mielestämme se ei ole tasapuolista - miksi toimituskulu pitäisi maksaa vaatteen hinnassa, mikäli noudat tuotteen myymälästä tai tulet sovittamaan sitä messuille?

Pyrimme omalla vastuullisella toiminnallamme välttämään myös hupitilauksia, mitkä kuormittavat työllistäen, ekologisesti sekä taloudellisesti. Toivomme, että jokainen meiltä tehty hankinta on harkittu ja sen eteen nähdään vaivaa. Autamme mielellämme esimerkiksi oikean koon valinnassa, jotta tilaus osuisi oikeaan kerralla.
